Nutrition programs for workplaces in the community sector


Nutrition Australia ACT Division's one hour community seminars are delivered onsite at your workplace. All participants will receive take home resources to supplement the seminar information. Topics include:

Boost Your Energy - Information on general nutrition and provides practical diet tips on how to boost energy and get the most out of the day.

9 Steps to Healthy Eating - Learn how to incorporate healthy food choices into daily life in 9 simple steps.

Food Choices: What the labels tell us - Understand what is in food and how to select healthy food products. This is a virtual supermarket tour!

Food Variety and Physical Activity - Provides simple approaches to improve your food variety and tips on how to improve your physical fitness.

Weight for a Change This presentation empowers individuals with the knowledge and motivation to initiate a realistic weight loss program.

Myth Busters -  “potatoes are fattening”; “if you are trying to lose weight you need to avoid all types of fat” - If you agree with the above statements, hold on tight because we have some serious myth busting to do!

Cooking demonstrations

A nutritionist from Nutrition Australia ACT Division will deliver a one hour cooking demonstration at your workplace, providing ideas for healthy meals and snacks. Taste testing will be provided for up to 30 participants. Resources, including posters for the organisation, recipe sheets and fact sheets on relevant nutrition and health issues will be provided to participants.

The facilities available for preparation, cooking and taste-testing must be confirmed before a booking can finalised. Nutrition Australia ACT Division will supply all required equipment for the cooking demonstration and taste testing.
