Who should volunteer?

Students, those with a background in health, or anyone interested in health or health promotion may find volunteering with Nutrition Australia WA Division (NAWA) beneficial.

Please note: Currently with NAWA, volunteering opportunities are very rare. Should a volunteer opportunity become available registered volunteers will be emailed.

Am I eligible to volunteer?

Before commencing a volunteer role with NAWA, you’ll be asked to submit the following:

  • A current National Police Check (or Working with Children Check or current Teacher registration).  We accept existing documentation if it’s no more than 12 months old.
     
  • Evidence of safe food handling knowledge
     
  • A valid email address and ability to access email
     
  • Good oral and written English comprehension skills
  • Eligibility for a Medicare card (permanent residents) (for insurance purposes)
     
How do I register for a volunteer role?

Due to the limited opportunities available we initially only require you to send an email to wa@nutritionaustralia.org stating your interest in volunterring.
Please include: your full name, email address, mobile number, suburb you live in, qualifications or course being studied and year of completion.

We will retain your information on our database and contact you by email should there be a volunteer opportunity in West Australia.
