Healthy Eating Advisory Service supporting healthy food choices for Victorians

With the New Year well underway, now is the perfect time to consider how you can commit to healthy and nutritious food in 2013.

The Healthy Eating Advisory Service offers information and support on food and nutrition and the provision of healthy food and drinks in early childhood services, schools, hospitals and workplaces across Victoria.

Run by Nutrition Australia Vic Division, the advisory service provides:

  • telephone and email advice
  • practical advice on healthy foods and drinks
  • menu and food product assessments
  • healthy recipes and food ideas
  • and support to meet relevant healthy eating policies and guidelines.

Anyone responsible for the provision of foods and drinks in early childhood services, schools, hospitals retail food outlets and workplaces can contact the advisory service.

The Victorian Healthy Eating Advisory Service is jointly funded by the Victorian and Australian Governments, and delivered by Nutrition Australia Vic Division. It is one of a range of initiatives that the Victorian Government is working on to promote the health of children and young people.
