Nutrition Australia Vic Division can support early childhood and out of school hours care (OSHC) services in Victoria meet the healthy eating requirements of the National Quality Standard.
Element 2.2.1: “Healthy eating is promoted and food and drinks provided by the service are nutritious and appropriate for each child.”
We offer training, menu assessments, and tailored support.
By working with Nutrition Australia Vic Division you can receive support to:
- provide nutritious foods and drinks and plan healthy menus
- catering for food allergies and intolerances
- overcome challenges, like time and budgeting
- promote healthy eating to children
- create a healthy eating environment.
Training
Catering for allergies and intolerances in childcare
Learn to accomodate common allergies and intolerances in your menus, identify allergens, ingredients to avoid and suitable recipe swaps.
Fussy eating in childcare
Gain the skills and knolwedge to deal with food refusal at mealtimes. You’ll learn to identify common causes of fussy eating, gain simple strategies to overcome it, and explore the role of educators in supporting healthy eating habits.
Promoting healthy eating through learning and play
Learn fun and interactive ways to engage children with nutrition in this hands-on workshop. You’ll also gain a clearer understanding of the educator's role in promoting healthy eating, and develop the skills and confidence to do it!
Healthy eating and menu planning
Learn to plan healthy menus that support children’s nutrition requirements. You'll learn about menu planning guidelines, healthy food and drink ideas, simple recipe swaps and how to promote healthy food to children.

Promote healthy eating at home by hosting an educational workshops for parents.
