Healthy Eating Advisory Service team support

Melbourne, 1 day p/w

The Healthy Eating Advisory Service (HEAS) is a state government funded service which supports healthy food and drink provision in various settings including early childhood services, schools, workplaces, hospitals and sport and recreation centres.

We require a volunteer to support the HEAS team with various program tasks which may include, but are not limited to:

  • printing, copying, collating material for upcoming services/training
  • research and data entry
  • resource development
  • collecting food and drink product information.

Role commences Friday 24 May 2019, for 12 weeks.

Nutrition in Pregnancy brochure evaluation

Our Consultancy team published a Nutrition in pregnancy brochure for a pilot project with Bayer Australia to educate and empower women about the importance of nutrition during pregnancy.

We have distributed the brochure to participating GP clinics and pharmacies to compliment communication with patients and for people to take home with them when in the waiting room or in a pharmacy.

We are now at the evaluation for project and invite two volunteers to be part of this stage!

Evaluation data collection: Initial evaluation contact with participating GP clinics and pharmacies, follow up with evaluation phone calls.

Required for potentially two days per week across three weeks from Monday 8 April 2019, 10:00am-3:00pm.

Staff Wellness Program assistant and administration

Nutrition Australia Vic Division aims to promote optimal health within the community and its own workforce. We have been registered with Healthy Together Victoria’s Workplace Achievement Program since 2013.

Our goals are to continuously provide a healthy workplace for all employees and volunteers and thus meet the five benchmarks outlined by the Achievement Program.

We require a volunteer with a strong interest in health promotion to assist with the ongoing implementation and administration of our staff wellness program and front desk administration.

Commencing Tuesday 16 April for 13 consecutive weeks. Four hours per week, 1:00pm-5:00pm on Tuesdays only.
