Training: Healthy eating and menu planning for long day care

In this interactive workshop, long day care centre cooks will learn about:

  • children’s nutrition requirements (1-5 years)
  • developing menus that meet the Australian Dietary Guidelines
  • healthy food and drink ideas for young children
  • ingredient swaps
  • promoting healthy eating to children
  • dealing with challenges, such as food allergies and budgeting.

This workshop will help your centre work towards meeting National Quality Standard 2.2

Workshops are facilitated by an Accredited Practising Dietitian or Accredited Nutritionist from Nutrition Australia. All materials will be provided on the day and you will receive a certificate of completion at the end.
