Workshop 1
Instructor(s) will work with the student group to:
Explain Food Serves
Analyse Food Diaries
Discuss influences on food choice
Set goals to increase the intake of healthy foods
Design a healthy eating plan
Select a recipe for the cooking session in Workshop 2
At the conclusion of Workshop 1, the instructor will explain the activities in Workshop 2
Workshop 2
Instructor(s) will work with the student group to:
Set up classroom for the cooking workshop
Understand the requirements for safe food handling and hygiene
Prepare the selected recipes
Taste the recipes
Rate the recipes tasted
Clean up cooking utensils and equipment
At the conclusion of Workshop 2, the students will complete a Summary Sheet to:
Outline the steps they have taken to achieve a healthy eating pattern
Identify any barriers to this healthy eating pattern
Set goals to continue healthy eating.
