President of Nutrition Australia NSW Division awarded Ku-ring-gai Local Woman of the Year

President of Nutrition Australia NSW Division, Barbara Ward, has been named 'Ku-ring-gai Local Woman of the Year' for 2017 for 2017.

The award has been conferred in recognition of Mrs Ward's outstanding contribution and service to the community and health sector as Managing Director San Foundation.

NA NSW awarded funding from Parramatta City Council

Nutrition Australia NSW has been awarded funding from Parramatta City Council to run a Multicultural Cooking Program. The program will celebrate foods from a diverse range of cultures and empower Granville area residents with the knowledge and skills needed to achieve a healthy diet in their own culture.

NA NSW Help Celebrate Seniors Week at Greengate Retirement Village, Maroubra.

Congratulations to Tamsin Parrish who has been named Nutrition Australia NSW Volunteer of the Year, 2015!

Tamsin has volunteered her time to help with cooking demonstrations, stalls and expos across the year. Tamsin is a nutrition student at the University of Wollongong and is always exceptionally prepared, displays an excellent work ethic and is a pleasure to deal with.

Jenny Eggins receives Individual Volunteer Achievement Award in the fifth annual St George Community Awards

Nutrition Australia NSW President Barbara Ward was proud to nominate Jenny Eggins for the Individual Volunteer Achievement Award. The Award was hosted by Mr Mark Coure MP Member for Oatley and Deputy Government Whip.

Jenny received her award in the 2015 St George Community Awards on the 12th November for her work with Nutrition Australia NSW Division.

Nutrition Australia NSW Inspires Healthy Eating at the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District Staff Wellness Expo

The South Eastern Sydney Local Health District Staff Wellness Expo offered an opportunity for the Districts staff to learn more about the services available to them, from hearing checks to fitness passports. Nutrition Australia NSW participated in the Staff Wellness Expo, offering staff a wide range of nutrition information and answering their nutrition related questions.

Nutrition Australia NSW engaged with staff who were interested in learning more about healthy eating on the run, quick and healthy breakfast ideas and many were interested in improving their families diet.

Nutrition Australia NSW volunteers support the UNSW Cooking Society Healthy Eating Workshop

On the 22^nd of October Nutrition Australia NSW volunteers Chloe and Alana supported the University of NSW Cooking Society Healthy Eating Workshop. The Healthy Eating Workshop aimed to provide students with information on healthy eating ‘basics’. Many students attended the workshop to gain practical tips and general nutrition advice.

The Hon Minister Jillian Skinner MP Launches National Nutrition Week at NSW Parliament House

The Hon Minister for Health Jillian Skinner MP launched the week long National Nutrition Week campaign at the New South Wales Parliament House, on Wednesday 14 October, there was a buzz of activity with characters ‘Bazza Banana’ and ‘Tamara Tomato’ interacting with guests on their arrival to New South Wales Parliament House.
