Shellharbour Bike About

The 2011 Shellharbour Bike About will be held on Sunday, 25 September. Enjoy a fun family day while enjoying the natural environment of Lake Illawarra Foreshore and for the first time ride over the recently constructed Elliott Lake Bridge. Bring your bike and helmet and challenge yourself to an 8km, 10km or a combined ride of 18km.

Toddler Bites Herb Garden Competition WINNER

Nutrition Services for Early Learning Centres Services, Toddler Bites Winter Edition 2011 magazine was heavily focused on the health benifits of herbs. Early Learning Centres were encouraged to create herb gardens or window boxes over the winter months to educate children on the benefits of herbs. Nutrition Australia NSW Division held a competition for members to send through photos of their centres herb garden.

CheckIt - Men's Health Expo

The CheckIt Men's Health Expo encourages men in the Illawarra to take more responsibility for their health. In 2010, the event was heald at the WIN Entertainment centre and offered free health screenings. Nearly 1,000 men were tested and educated about their health. Over 15 exhibitors also provided information and kits to further provide messages about healthy living.
