A tasty warm breakfast for those cold mornings, that will keep you fuller for longer.
|1||Teaspoon (Metric)||ground cinnamon|
|1 1⁄2||Cup||skim milk|
|1||red apple (Cored and chopped, skin on)|
|1⁄2||Cup||Hazelnuts (Roughly chopped)|
- Place the quinoa in a saucepan with the water and cinnamon. Bring to the boil then reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Add milk, apple and sultanas, cook for another 5 minutes then stir in hazelnuts.
- Serve immediately.
- Serve with a dollop of plain or natural yoghurt.
- This recipe is gluten free and vegetarian, and has 18g of nuts per serve (1/2 a handful).
