Ingredients
| 1⁄4 | Cup | almonds (ground) |
| 1 | banana (very ripe, mashed) | |
| 1 | Cup | dates (finely chopped) |
| 1 | Cup | rasins (finely chopped) |
| 3⁄4 | Cup | walnuts (finely chopped) |
| 1⁄2 | Cup | wheat germ |
| 1⁄4 | Cup | coconut (shredded) |
| 1 | tbsp | lemon zest |
Instructions
- Mix together dates, raisins, banana, walnuts, ground almonds, lemon zest and ¼ cup of wheat germ.
- Combine the remaining ¼ cup of wheat germ with the coconut.
- Roll fruit mixture into balls and then roll in the coconut mixture.
- Chill until firm.

Notes
Any type of nuts can be used in this recipe. Walnuts and brazil nuts are particually beneficial because of their high antioxidant content. Nuts also provide a good source of unsaturated fats, protein and fibre, but limit intake to about one handful a day as nuts are also high in energy.
