Description

Hummus is a dip or spread made from cooked, mashed chickpeas, blended with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and garlic.

Ingredients

600GramChickpeas (drained)
1CloveGarlic (quartered)
1⁄3CupTahini
1Teaspoon (Metric)salt
1⁄3Cupwater
1⁄4Cuplemon juice

Instructions

  1. Blend or process ingredients until almost smooth.
  2. Place hummus in a serving bowl, scraping down the sides of the plate.

 

Tips/Hand hints

Serve dip with cut up vegetables such as carrots, cucumber or capsicum, or with our own pita crisps.
