Introducing the New ACT Division Premises

Nutrition Australia ACT is thrilled to finally have a place to call home. The division proudly moved into their new premises on 31 January 2011. We now have a functioning office, complete with a nutrition resource centre, and a wonderful food skills kitchen equipped with 4 separate cooking stations.

The ACT office is situated in a regional community facility called the Chifley Community Hub (the Hub) which has been designed by the ACT government to meet the needs of valued community organisations within Canberra. Nutrition Australia ACT shares the newly renovated building with a number of other community organisations such as YMCA, Australian Breastfeeding Association, SIDS and Kids and the Mental Health Foundation.
On February 11 The Hub was officially opened by Deputy Chief Minister Gallagher MLA. It was a great opportunity for Nutrition Australia ACT to showcase our new facility and explore the possibilities of what we can now offer our local community.
Nutrition Australia ACT would like to thank the tireless efforts of Lyn Brown and June Hicks in making this office and kitchen a possibility. Many thanks also go to the committee members for volunteering their help to move equipment into the office and setting up a great new workplace.
