These school holidays Nutrition Australia ACT are joining forces with Warehouse Circus to offer a unique school holiday program from 26 to 29 September. 

NAACT will be delivering afternoon cooking sessions for primary school aged children, as part of the spring school holiday program in Chifley.

On a typical day, students can enjoy a choice of circus activities such as tumbling, mini trampoline, stilt walking, unicycling, hula hooping, juggling, staff twirling, poi twirling, diabolo and aerial disciplines such as tissue and trapeze.

On Thursday 12 March, Nutrition Australia ACT will be launching the ACT Nutrition Support Service (ACTNSS), which aims to support healthy eating environments across the ACT.

A new resource to boost health literacy amongst primary school children was launched in the ACT on 25 September. Food&METM is a suite of nutrition education units designed to help teachers educate students at the primary school level on food and nutrition and help establish healthy eating habits for life.

Food & ME is a unit of 5 modules specifically designed for students at the transitional level - Years 5 and 6. Food & ME provides teachers with the necessary tools to teach nutrition within the ACT School Curriculum Framework. It provides students with the opportunity to learn about the relationship between food and health, including the effect it has on their bodies and mental wellbeing.
