The Healthy Eating Pyramid is a standard educational tool throughout Australia . Nutrition Australia has created a new version of the pyramid: The Healthy Living Pyramid , to emphasise the need for regular activity. The ‘Move more' layer showing lots of moving legs adds the concept of physical activity as being an essential link with eating. In order to maintain body weight food eaten (energy in) needs to be balanced with physical activity (energy out). This poster can be used to provide the stimulus for life style change and weight management.
