Healthy School Policy - Action Plan Manual

Nutrition Australia
Cost: $35.00 includes GST

Healthy School Policy - Action Plan Manual CoverHealthy School Policy - Action Plan Manual CoverDeveloping a School Policy can be difficult and time consuming. This manual provides a "step-by-step" approach to developing a Healthy School Policy based on the Health Promoting Schools framework. The manual guides schools through the process of identifying the schools existing strengths and "gaps" in promoting and encouraging healthy eating across the areas of Teachers and the Curriculum, School Organisation, Environment and Food Service, and Families and the Wider Community. The outcome of working through this "checklist process" is an "Action Plan" which forms the basis of a practical, meaningful Healthy School Policy that can be easily followed and adhered to.

As this manual is based on The Health Promoting Schools model involving the whole of school approach, it ensures your school's Action Plan/Policy is coordinated, self-enforcing, sustainable and voices a consistent, positive message to the school and broader community.

An electronic version of the Action Plan checklist, implementation table, and an attractive formal policy display template are also made available as part of this manual upon request.
