Cancer Prevention

Did you know that what you eat can help prevent cancer. According to the nutrition experts, chemicals found in foods, particularly fruit, vegetables and legumes play a big role in preventing all those lifestyle diseases such as cancer, heart disease and even menopausal symptoms that Westerners are famous for.

To find out more about phytochemicals, the Australian Nutrition Foundation is holding a public seminar with Australia’s best known nutritionist, Rosemary Stanton and Head of Medicine at Monash University, Professor Mark Wahlqvist. The seminar titled Phytochemicals - Their future role in human nutrition, will be held on Monday 22nd November at 6:30pm in the Business Building Lecture Theatre at the Northern Territory University. Cost is $10.00 or free if you are a member of the Australian Nutrition Foundation. Bookings are essential on 1800 673 392.
