A Seminar from Nutrition Australia

The ACT Division of Nutrition Australia held a seminar for health professionals in Canberra on Thursday evening 17th October 2002 at The National Press Club.

The seminar was titled "Sustainability in Food and Nutrition - are we eating our future."

It was a most informative seminar with three speakers focussing on this issue from different angles.

Australia's best known nutritionist Dr Rosemary Stanton focussed her presentation on sustainability of our food supply and the drivers associated with this supply.

Warwick McDonald's presentation highlighted the natural resource management context and implications for food production based on the findings of the National Land and Water Resources Audit. Dr Peter Collignon structured his talk on SUPER BUGS and Food Safety with Regard to Antibiotic Use.

This exciting seminar was chaired by ABC radio personality Chris Uhlmann.
