National Privacy Principles
The new privacy laws came into effect 21 December 2001.
The new law which is a part of the Privacy
Act 1988 (Commonwealth) includes ten National Privacy Principles that
set standards for the way organisations, including health providers, handle
personal information and have been adopted by the Board.
